
Brian P. Haas, Physical Therapist, Director of Rehabilitation
Brian is a native of Williamsport, Pennsylvania and has been working at Jersey Shore Hospital since 2002. He received his Physical Therapy degree from the University of Scranton in 1989 and continues learning each year with multiple continuing education credits. His interest area is orthopedics/sports and wound care. In his spare time, Brian enjoys tandem cycling with his wife Christine, fly fishing, wood working, cooking, gardening, and volunteering at his church.

Vicki Hospes, Physical Therapist Assistant
Vicki, originally from Brentwood, New York, is a physical therapist assistant at Jersey Shore Hospital. Vicki graduated from Nassau County Community College with an Associate’s Degree in applied science. Her specialty interest lies in treating orthopedic patients. In her spare time, Vicki enjoys golf, skiing, cooking, and travel.
Carol Carson, Rehabilitation Aide
Carol is a native of Williamsport, Pennsylvania, and has been with Jersey Shore Hospital since 1999. Carol holds a Nurse Aide Certificate and helps out in all aspects of the Rehabilitation Department from scheduling to patient care. Her hobbies include gardening, riding motorcycle, and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Kelly Watson, Physical Therapist Assistant
Kelly is from Jersey Shore, Pennsylvania, and is a physical therapist assistant at Jersey Shore Hospital. She received her Associate’s Degree in applied science in 1981 from Lehigh County Community College. Her clinic interest lies in orthopedics and geriatrics. In her free time, Kelly enjoys walking, Notre Dame sports, watching football, and spending time with family and friends. Kelly has extensive experience in Acute Care, Long Term Care, Sports Medicine, Work Hardening, and Exercise Programs for the geriatric population. She is a member of the hospital’s Safety Committee and Decontamination team. She is also an educator on back safety for nurses and new hospital employees, and was on the committee to implement a tobacco free campus. Currently, Kelly serves on the hospital’s Customer Service team. She also enjoys volunteering at her church and being a certified hospice volunteer.

Kelli Smith, Physical Therapist
Kelli is from Montoursville, Pennsylvania, and is Jersey Shore Hospital’s newest physical therapist. Kelli graduated from Misericordia University in 2008 with her Masters’ in Physical Therapy. In 2010, Kelli completed her Doctorate from Misericordia. Her clinical interests are working in sports medicine and aquatic therapy. Kelli enjoys various activities in her spare time that include hiking, camping, hunting, riding 4-wheelers, playing with her two black labs, and spending time with her husband and son.

Desirae Kemock, Physical Therapist
Desirae is a Physical Therapist who recently joined the Jersey Shore Hospital family. She completed seven years of education and received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Saint Francis University. Her clinical interests include evaluating and treating patients with musculoskeletal and neuromuscular dysfunction. In her spare time Desirae enjoys shopping, playing music, and spending time with her friends and family.
Karen Horne, Physical Therapist
Karen has been a Physical Therapist for over 24 years and she recently brought her experience to the Jersey Shore Hospital Physical Therapy Department. She will be evaluating and treating patients in her specialty area of sports medicine and post-operative orthopedic physical therapy. In her spare time, Karen loves reading and enjoying sports, especially New York Yankees baseball and Penn State football. She also enjoys going to the beach, amusement parks, hiking and warm weather.
Laura Fink, MS, OTR/L, CHT
Laura Fink is from Jersey Shore, Pennsylvania, and is Manager of the Occupational Therapy Department at the hospital and is the hospital’s Certified Hand Therapist. In 1997, Laura received her Master’s of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from Misericordia University. In 2001, Laura received her Master’s in Health Services Administration from the University of St. Francis. She also has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Misericordia University. In her spare time, Laura enjoys counted cross stitch, shopping, reading, gardening, baking, and spending time with her family and friends.

Ruby C. Stetts, Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
Ruby, from Jersey Shore, is a licensed, certified Occupational Therapy Assistant at Jersey Shore Hospital who works closely with Laura Fink. Ruby received her Associate’s Degree in applied science in Business Management from Pennsylvania College of Technology in 1991, and then received her Associate’s Degree in applied science in Occupational Therapy in 2000. Ruby enjoys treating orthopedic and geriatric patients. In her free time, she enjoys Penn State University football, sports, gardening, riding motorcycle, and socializing with family and friends. Besides taking great pride in her work at Jersey Shore Hospital, Ruby spends her time raising her four children, attending their sporting events, and enjoying PSU football. Ruby strives to make a new friend every day and is often found telling her patients that she treats the “inside” as well as the “outside.”
Rhonda Shirk, Secretary
Rhonda graduated from Newport Business Institute with an Associate’s Degree. She started working a Jersey Shore Hospital in 2009 and joined the rehab team in February of 2010. Rhonda is in charge of greeting and registering patients while also assisting the therapists throughout the day and handling a wide variety of administrative tasks. In her spare time, she enjoys camping, reading, and spending time with her family.

Susan E. Smith, Physical Therapist
Susan, from Jersey Shore, Pennsylvania, works at the hospital’s Tiadaghton office located in Lock Haven where she is also the clinic’s manager. Susan received her Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy in 2000 from Gannon University. She enjoys treating outpatient orthopedic patients. In her spare time, Susan enjoys playing the piano, reading, and spending time with her family. She also enjoys participating in church activities including worship/music team, and children’s teaching.

Elaine Dorney, Physical Therapist
Elaine received her Bachelor of Science degree from Northeastern University in Boston, MA and her Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from Beaver College, now Arcadia University, in Glenside, PA. She has been employed by Jersey Shore Hospital since 2005 and is also certified in Lymphedema treatment. Elaine found herself in Pine Creek, PA after moving from Massachusetts. She spends her time biking on the rail trail, reading, and enjoying her 3 cats and 2 dogs.
Cathy Bowman, Secretary/Receptionists
Cathy, from Mill Hall, has been employed with Jersey Shore Hospital since 2003. Her job duties include greeting and scheduling the patients, as well as assisting the physical therapists. She enjoys gardening, reading, and spending time with her family.
Tracey Williams, Secretary/Aide
Tracey, originally from New Jersey, moved to Pennsylvania in 1972. She graduated in 1983 from South Hills School of Business & Technology with a one-year accounting degree. She started working at Jersey Shore Hospital 13 years ago starting out as a part-time employee and in 2002 accepted a full-time position. In her spare time, Tracey enjoys watching TV, playing Facebook games, reading, and playing darts.
Karen Johnson, Physical Therapist
Karen was born in Sayer, Pennsylvania, and moved to Lock Haven at the age of two. She graduated from Lock Haven University in 1972 with a Bachelor’s of Biology Degree and she received her Certificate of Physical Therapy from the University of Pennsylvania in 1978. Karen has since been a part of Jersey Shore Hospital, working here for over 30 years. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, exercising, and teaching health wellness. Karen is also a Reiki Massage Master.
