Jersey Shore Hospital Names Dr. Ralph Korkor as General Surgeon
New employee brings 29 years of industry experience to hospital

Jersey Shore, PA (August 20, 2008) - Jersey Shore Hospital has recently named Dr. Ralph Korkor to the position of general surgeon.

Korkor, a New Jersey native, has been independently practicing medicine for 29 years in the Philadelphia and South Jersey regions.

His experience includes Mercer County (New Jersey), Bucks County (Pennsylvania), Philadelphia and the northeast portion of Pennsylvania. He has also practiced at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in Hamilton, N.J., and the John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital in Philadelphia.

Korkor's specialty is colon and rectal surgery with main interests in abdominal laprascopy, gastro-intestinal surgery and endoscopies.

Having grown up in Syria and Lebanon, Korkor received his medical schooling in the Middle East. He then received special training in general surgery at the University of Texas.

Carey Plummer, president and CEO of Jersey Shore Hospital, along with the rest of the hospital community, are proud to have Korkor on board, joining long-time surgeon Dr. Stephen Katz.
