Local Credit Union Donates to Jersey Shore Hospital

JERSEY SHORE—Horizon Federal Credit Unions three local branches—3rd Street in Williamsport, Reach Road in Williamsport, and the Lock Haven branch—have come together to bring over 90 stuffed animals for children at the Jersey Shore Hospital.

The array of stuffed animals are to be distributed to children in the hospital’s Outpatient Laboratory. Judy Harris, Communications and Marketing Coordinator for Horizon, said, “We purchased 504 animals and distributed them to six area hospitals… Bucktail Medical, Lock Haven Hospital, Jersey Shore Hospital, Williamsport Hospital, Muncy Valley Hospital, and Divine Providence Hospital.

Jersey Shore Hospital’s Director of Laboratory Services, Lisa Smith, is excited to have the stuffed animals on hand for the children, as they help to calm the children’s nerves when being at the hospital.
