Jersey Shore Hospital’s Orthopedic Surgeon Attends Rotator Cuff Course

On Nov. 6, Dr. Thomas Connolly, of the Jersey Shore Hospital, attended a rotator cuff course at the NYU Post-Graduate Medical School in New York.

The course was to update orthopedic surgeons on current and new rotator cuff surgery techniques. It was a half-day class that included reviews of old techniques along with discussions on new surgery techniques that included live surgical demonstrations.

Connolly currently performs general orthopedic fracture care on adults and children, total knee or total hip replacements, diagnoses and manages back pain, evaluates and treats workers’ compensation cases, performs a wide variety of hand surgeries, and diagnoses and manages sports-related injuries. He is one of the only surgeons in this region repairing rotator cuffs completely arthroscopically.

Connolly is currently accepting new patients, and appointments are available on short notice. His office is located within the Jersey Shore Hospital campus, and may be reached by calling 570-398-5710.
